Dinos Rule the ROM on January 16 & 17, 2016
ROM Big Weekend event features dino-themed activities for visitors of all ages
This weekend the ROM celebrates its first Big Weekend of 2016, Dinos Rule the ROM, with a fun-filled schedule of events for visitors of all ages including a ROM arcade, meet and greets with ROM palaeontologists, hands-on activities in the Museum’s dinosaur galleries, yoga and much more.
WHAT: ROM BIG WEEKEND: Dinos Rule the ROM highlights include:
- A chance to explore all things dinosaur and fossil related
- Watch episodes of Dino Hunt Canada
- Learn about life in the field with ROM palaeontologists
- Try video games inspired by the ROM’s natural history collections
- Practice morning ROM FIT: Iam Yoga
- Enjoy Balloon Art featuring a gigantic Spinosaurus
WHO: ROM curators and guest scientists, including Wendy Sloboda, renowned fossil finder and the namesake of the ROM’s newest dinosaur, Wendiceratops; science writer Brian Switek (consultant for the 2015 blockbuster, Jurassic World); ROM Palaeontologist, Dr. David Evans; and ROM palaeoartist Danielle Dufault.
WHERE: Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queen’s Park, Toronto
WHEN: Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2016.
Activities run from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and are included with ROM General Admission.
ROM Weekend Hours are 10:00 am to 5:30 pm
