The Royal Ontario Museum is pleased to present Canadians, an exhibition by award-winning musician/photographer Bryan Adams, on display for a one night, exclusive engagement at the highly-anticipated ROM Ball on May 6, 2017. Paying homage to Canada’s 150th anniversary, the installation features portraits of noteworthy Canadians, all captured by the world-renowned rock musician who has been lauded for his multi-faceted talent as a photographer.
Canadians will spotlight national icons from a range of fields and generations, debuting new portraits, as well as powerful archival imagery from Adams’ photography career. The exhibition features 28 portraits of national icons, including: Margaret Atwood, Michael Bublé, The Weeknd, Joni Mitchell, Wayne Gretzky, Michael J. Fox, Linda Evangelista and Her Majesty the Queen, among many more. Most recently, Adams photographed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, backstage at the Juno Awards in Ottawa.
Bryan Adams will be in attendance at the ROM Ball for the official unveiling of Canadians during the event’s cocktail reception. Canadians– housed in the ROM’s Peter F. Bronfman Hall – will be open throughout the evening for both gala and after-party guests. A limited-edition, 60-page catalogue book titled Canadians will be exclusively available for purchase by attendees at the ROM Ball.
Set to be Ontario’s preeminent red carpet cultural gala in celebration of Canada’s sesquicentennial, the ROM Ball will include an impressive cocktail reception, majestic dinner, and an after-party with live performances and dancing throughout the galleries – all in support of the Museum.
The ROM Ball recently announced Canadian singer Rufus Wainwright will headline the gala dinner set in the Samuel Hall 
Currelly Gallery. The celebratory event will also feature collaborations with three acclaimed artists – Barry Ace, Edward Burtynsky and Charles Pachter - whose works are symbolic, meaningful and uniquely Canadian.
