ROM’s 3rd Monday Nights Free Moves to Tuesdays With New Schedule
TORONTO, October 8, 2019 – Starting November 19, 2019, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is shifting its monthly evening of free admission from Mondays to Tuesdays. Launched in April 2019, the initiative invites the public to experience the Museum free of charge one night a month. Visitors enjoy complimentary general admission from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and are invited to explore art, culture, and nature in the Museum’s 40 galleries. The last scheduled Monday event is on October 21, 2019 and the first 3rd Tuesday Nights Free is on November 19. This program is generously supported by the TD Bank Group through its corporate citizenship platform The Ready Commitment, and The Bennett Family Foundation.
The change in schedule reflects the ROM’s new Fall – Spring hours, which will be introduced November 4, 2019. Throughout the fall, winter and spring, the Museum will be closed to the public on Mondays and operating Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5:30 pm. During peak periods, such as holiday Mondays, the summer months, December holidays and March Break, the Museum will be open seven days a week. This new schedule has been designed to allow the Museum to carry out behind-the-scenes work without disrupting visitors.
