ROM After Dark: Kitchen Party

A wild east-coast celebration. In a slightly bigger kitchen.

ROM After Dark is the popular after-hours adult (19+) event series that features curated music, visual arts, performances, and distinctive food and drink.

Inspired by the rowdy kitchen parties of Atlantic Canada, RAD: Kitchen Party brings a contemporary edge to folk traditions with a quilting workshop, live DJ, and multiple Juno Award-winning headliner Ashley MacIsaac. Plus, each visitor gets a free drink ticket* and access to all exhibitions, including Quilts: Made in Canada.

Tickets are on sale now!
Ticket includes one complimentary beverage ticket*, free coat check, and access to the entire Museum.

Performances

  • Ashley MacIsaac: A giant of Canadian pop, the Nova Scotian fiddler is renowned for his mastery of traditional Celtic music—and willingness to break its rules.
  • Old Man Flanagan’s Ghost: Since 2012, this local quintet has had audiences stomping their feet to maritime favourites and covers of Great Big Sea.
  • DJ Alister Johnson: Spinning everywhere from Do West Fest to 416 Snack Bar, DJ Alister transforms vintage funk and Euro-soul into one gorgeous, unrelenting groove.
  • DJ Barry Spritzer: A seasoned country and western crate digger who specializes in honky tonk head-nodders, saloon scorchers, and boot-scootin' burners.
