Calling All Makers!
This Weekend is ROM Family Funday
The ROM presents Family Funday: Calling All Makers on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Visitors can expect to find inspirational programming throughout the Museum’s galleries and exciting hands-on activities all day long. Family Funday: Calling All Makers highlights include:
- Wandering Wendiceratops!: Artist Andrew Lamb and the ROM collaborate to present Wendiceratops!, a large scale paper craft replica of the Museum’s newest ceratopsian dinosaur.
- Giant Digital Colouring Wall: Get creative with digital spray paint and markers on MakeLab’s enormous, wall-sized digital colouring pages.
- Cartoon Cards: Channel your inner cartoonist and make a one-of-a kind cartoon card. visit the Point & Punch: Historical Editorial Cartoons of J.W. Bengough (1851-1923) and Sam Hunter (1858-1939) exhibition for inspiration.
- Animal Explorers: Takes kids aged 12 and under around the ROM for a guided scavenger hunt.
- Body Image, Body Art: Inspired by the ROM’s special exhibition Tattoos: Ritual. Identity. Obsession. Art., make a #ROMink statement and design a personal temporary tattoo.
- Join ROM palaeontologist Dr. David Evans for a talk on the ROM’s Wendiceratops at 2:00 pm in the Queen’s Park Rotunda.
