Catch a parade of fish this Friday as LUZIA, the latest from Cirque du Soleil, splashes into the ROM
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) hosts an onsite appearance by ambassadors of the exciting new Cirque du Soleil production, LUZIA - A Waking Dream of Mexico, on Friday, July 22, 2016, at 10:30 am. This interactive presentation features a procession of surreal, animal-like characters in luminous tropical costumes, who will plunge into the ROM’s galleries to share LUZIA, and its signature Cirque splendour, with ROM visitors.
WHAT: Highlights of the LUZIA appearance at the ROM include:
- The first Toronto stop of a mini parade of surreal creatures, an hour long showcase of ambassadors from Cirque’s colourful new production, a delightful show infused with Mexican culture-inspired themes
- ROM visitors will be treated to a special procession of animal-like characters dancing in vibrant costumes, with an opportunity to capture photos and get up close with the performers
- The parade starts on the ROM Plaza and swims into the ROM’s galleries through the Museum’s main doors
- LUZIA opens in Toronto on July 28, 2016 at The Port Lands
WHERE: Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queen’s Park (at Avenue Road).
The ROM Plaza, where the fish parade begins its swim upstream, is located at the front of the Museum, at the corner of Bloor Street and Avenue Road.
