ROM Friday Night Live Returns
#FNLROM is back with fresh entertainment provided by the JUNO Awards, Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, WorldPride and More!
(Toronto, Ontario – April 28, 2014) – The premier social event Torontonians have been waiting for all winter is back – the fifth season of Friday Night Live returns. This season the ROM is happy to welcome Ford of Canada as the presenting sponsor of #FNLROM. This adult only event (19 +) invites visitors to experience the Museum in new and different ways every Friday from May 2 to June 27, 2014, 7 p.m. to midnight.
This season, ROM Friday Night Live has once again partnered with the city’s most dynamic festivals and attractions, including the JUNO Awards, Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture, Canadian Music Week, Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, Fashion Art Toronto, Muhtadi International Drumming Festival, Arts for Children and Youth, and World Pride 2014 Toronto to feature a unique theme each night.
The ROM will raise the Crystal’s roof this season with the sounds of Buck 65, Maestro Fresh Wes, Michie Mee, Slakah the Beatchild, Fefe Dobson, Francesco Yates, Roger Mooking, iDRUM, Derek Miller, and many more.
Enjoy a wide variety of international fare, from some of Toronto’s favourite pop-up food vendors, including: Bliss Cupcakes, HotBunzz Street Cuizine, Gourmet Gringos Catering, Tita Flips, Little Tomato Catering, Saucy Pierogi, Me.n.u Food, Randy’s Roti, Liko’s BBQ, City Gourment and JK Frites.
ElectriCITY Events is back to set the scene with the sounds of the city’s hottest house DJs every week, including Conor Cutz, eFSharp, MAKEM, Fawn Big Canoe, and much more.

Celebrate the ROM’s 100th anniversary with the JUNO Awards! In its second year, JUNOS After Dark features live performances by some of Canada’s hottest musical acts including Buck 65, Maestro Fresh Wes, and Michie Mee among others. Explore the Ontario wilderness and cottage past times with the Taste Ontario craft brew masters, and get ready for the long weekend with Sam Cash & the Romantic Dogs and Andrew Austin.

It’s Museum Month! Celebrate with the ROM and other local Museum’s as they strut their stuff.
May 30: Strictly Forbidden
Explore forbidden worlds and experience life behind the walls of China’s Forbidden City. Step inside the feature exhibition The Forbidden City: Inside the Court of China’s Emperors.
June 6: Beats
Celebrate the art of drumming as it crosses all cultural boundaries. Key drumming groups such as Amara Kante and T dot Batu will raise the spirit of the drum for the XV annual Muhtadi International Drumming Festival that takes place in Woodbine Park.
June 13: Indigenous NOW
#FNLROM presents contemporary Indigenous Arts with Canada’s Association for Native Development in the Performing & Visual Arts (ANDPVA).
June 20: Sun Burn
It’s Summer Solstice at the ROM. Experience the Summer night’s sky in an onsite planetarium, and dance along with Jane’s Party and 2014 JUNO Award nominee Alysha Brilla Trio.
June: 27: ROMProud
The ROM and World Pride 2014 Toronto partner for an evening of revelry in honour of World Pride 2014.
