ROM Celebrates Family Day Weekend
with Earth Rangers Show, Hands-on Activities and more!
To celebrate Family Day Weekend (February 15 – 17) the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) has curated a special calendar of events to engage and delight parents, grandparents, care-givers, kids and families! Awaken your wild side and learn about the diversity of animal life, including incredible insects, magnificent mammals and rockin’ reptiles and more.
During the Family Day Weekend visitors to the ROM will enjoy:
- Return of the popular Earth Rangers animal show (Saturday, 11:00 – 1:00 pm)
- Interact with live reptiles and amphibians from Sciencesational Sssnakes
- Check out the ROM’s famous Bat Cave and meet live bats and owls
- Explore animal artifacts and specimens, with touch tables throughout the ROM
- Meet insects in the ROM’s hands-on galleries
- Chance to meet the ROM’s aquarium keeper (Sunday, 11:00 – 1:00 pm)
- Hands-on crafts, including animal bracelet making, and creating wildlife art with mixed media
- Have your photo taken with ROM dinosaur mascots: Gordo, Gertie, and Gurgle
When: Saturday, February 15 to Monday, February 17, 2014
Activities take place 11:00 am to 4:00 pm (Museum hours 10:00 am to 5:30 pm)
Free with museum admission.
