Visit stunning new Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) goes wild for the holidays with a full calendar of events, activities, exhibitions and more from December 26 to January 4, 2015.
During ROM for the Holidays visitors will discover:
· Family-fun activity zones with wild, hands-on experiences for all ages including a visit with live animals
· A wild arcade in the ROM’s Earth Rangers Studio, featuring Game Jam nature games
· A curators café to relax and enjoy highlights from ROM research
· An interactive Nature Reserve where visitors can experience true wildlife and share their experiences online
· Wild artifacts and specimens from the Museum’s vaults at touch tables throughout the Museum
Also on display is this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on loan from the Natural History Museum in London. The exhibition showcases100 awe-inspiring images of wildlife and nature selected from thousands of submissions by both amateur and professional photographers of all ages around the world.
ROM for the Holidays runs from Friday, December 26, 2014 to Sunday January 4, 2015 with special programs and activities scheduled daily from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Discounted general admission is valid after 4:30 pm on extended evening dates.
Hours: Extended Holiday Hours: December 27, 2014 - January 30, 2015 (10:00 am - 8:30 pm)
*Note: December 26, December 31 and January 5, 2015 (10:00 am - 5:30 pm)
