The ROM Is Open This Victoria Day weekend
TORONTO, May 15, 2017 – The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm daily, from Saturday, May 20 to Monday, May 22. Visitors of all ages can expect engaging museum-wide programs and exhibitions.
Victoria Day weekend at the ROM highlights include:
- Just in time for the long weekend, the largest heart of any animal, and the first and only real preserved blue whale heart in the world, will be on display in Out of the Depths: The Blue Whale Story. This ROM original exhibition features one of the largest and most-complete blue whale skeletons on display in the world.
- The recently opened The Family Camera, an original ROM exhibition that explores how family photographs reflect and shape our experiences of migration and sense of identity.
- Wildzone Workshops -- an exciting way to touch and feel select natural history specimens, including shells, feathers, bones, and more.
- Extraordinary encounters as Animal Explorers takes kids aged 12 and under around the ROM on guided scavenger hunts.
- ROM Walks: Yorkville, a guided tour filled with facts about one of Toronto’s most historic neighbourhoods.
