The Royal Ontario Museum has many exciting programs over the holidays that encourage education focused on biodiversity and natural science using interactive areas, which include activity boxes, displays, and real artefacts and specimens. As a Program Volunteer you will have the opportunity to build your public speaking, team building, and customer service skills, while meeting lots of new people!
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old by December 25, 2024. Must be a high school student.
- Must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts between December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Shifts will be from 10:30am to 3:30pm (subject to change).
- Must be available for training on December 14th, 2024 from 12-4pm.
- Come prepared for being active and on your feet!
- Note that ROM for the Holidays is extremely busy, so being comfortable working in crowded, noisy environments is essential.
- We are happy to provide documentation for Community Service hours upon completion of shifts.

- A brief description (150-200 words) of your favourite subjects and why you want to volunteer at ROM
- Contact information for 1 - 2 references (teachers, coaches, work supervisors, or extracurricular leaders preferred)
- Are you available on December 14, 2024 from 12 to 4 for training?
- Which days are you available for shifts between December 26, 2023 and January 7, 2024? Remember you need to be available for a minimum of 3 shifts. Be specific.
- Are you also available for March Break? Let us know in your application!
