Every quilt shares a story told through fabric, colour, and design. Quilts can be an act of love. A collection of fabric scraps saved over the years. The result of weeks or months spent problem-solving, designing, cutting, and sewing. While each quilt is as individual as its maker, maybe you’ll find a familiar story within their stitches.

Designed for beginners with little to no basic sewing skills, this fun workshop teaches participants hand-sewing techniques and patchwork design possibilities that inspire sustainability and spark creativity.

With artist and illustrator Tina J. Seemann as your guide, experience Wild Cats through your sketchbook in an engaging half-day drawing workshop. Featuring an in-class introduction to the anatomy of cats, Seemann presents basic and more advanced drawing techniques that will help you capture cats on the page. Working from the skeleton out, practice your drawing skills using unique and dynamic specimens held in the Museum’s collections and galleries.
