Live classical music, engaging entertainment, family activities and more included FREE with admission
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is pleased to resume its popular program, ROM Sundays, with live music, cultural performances, complimentary newspapers, ROMkids activities and more all included with Museum admission.
“ROM Sundays feature something for everyone,” said William Thorsell, Director and CEO of the ROM. “Families can spend time together exploring the galleries or taking part in fun educational programs. Those looking for a more relaxing atmosphere are invited to lounge in our Salon with live classical music.”
Every Sunday visitors can enjoy an assortment of special programming unique to ROM Sundays. Live classical ensembles perform every week and feature some of the best and brightest talent across Canada. Galleries and exhibitions come alive as solo musicians serenade guests in a variety of world musical styles as they stroll through the Museum. Complimentary newspapers and a comfortable lounge area make for a serene environment in the ROM’s beautiful Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery.
Kids will be inspired and entertained with special whirlwind tours of the Seven Wonders of the ROM guided by the Crystal Piper. Also, starting in November, visitors can experience First Nations Storytellers relating traditional stories from all over Canada. These performances are offered as part of A Season of Canada, a Museum-wide celebration of all things Canadian, on until January 6, 2008.
The ROM Sunday experience is made complete with a tasty snack in Food Studio, the ROM’s casual family restaurant. Alternately, an all-new Sunday brunch at C5 (Crystal Five) Restaurant Lounge is sure to please the most discerning palate. The ROM Museum Store also offers international shopping and unique gifts.
