A Night at the Museum has taken on a whole new meaning! The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) invites you to be a part of history at the most unique social destination in the city - Friday Night Live @ROM. #FNLROM launches April 20, 2012, with a unique experience planned for every Friday night, for ten weeks only until June 22, 2012. These adult only(19+)
events take place from 6 to 11 pm with a $9 cover charge.

“Friday Night Live @ROM is an opportunity for Toronto’s young adults to experience the Museum in a way that speaks to them,” says Janet Carding, Director and CEO, Royal Ontario Museum. “Modeled after similar events in museums and galleries across the United States and Europe, we look forward to providing a new and exciting way to be a part of the ROM.”

Every Friday night, party goers can experience a moveable feast of food and drink throughout the ROM’s galleries. Pop-up bars around the Museum will feature weekly local and international artisanal wines, beers and cocktails, including Ontario’s Somewhereness Wine Collective. Tantalizing fare will be created by Fidel Gastro’s sandwich revolution leader Matt Basile, Micha and Jackson Kennedy of JK Frites, and Local Liege Belgian waffle maven Valerie Bain of WaffleBar. All food and drink items start at $5 each.

Friday night revelers will dance their way through the ROM’s collections to the sounds of the city’s hottest DJs, presented by ElectriCITY Events. Experience live performances,
art installations, and late night Museum talks by local artists, collectives, designers and curators, including a collaboration between Sean Frey & Tasseomancy; a performance intervention by Buddies in Bad Times Theatre; a celebration of Canadian fashion with Toronto Fashion Incubator; an exhibition sneak peek with award winning international visual artist Jorinde Voigt;a performance by electric violin star Dr. Draw;and the acoustic and electronic beats of iDRUM.
