Middle and high school students and teachers need to prepare for topics linked to genocide (e.g., the Holocaust and Missing Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)). Bravely join the ROM and Facing History & Ourselves for a self-care art activation and learn about an innovative arts-based project that tackles these difficult topics.

Basic materials needed for art activity: materials to journal, write, or draw.

Examples include:

  • pencil and eraser
  • ruler
  • colouring materials
  • paper
  • digital drawing materials

Optional additional materials may include:

  • scissors
  • collage materials
  • printer for images printed off the internet
  • clear Scotch tape or glue stick
  • online digital drawing program
  • Google Jamboard
