On Saturday June 24 and Sunday June 25, Rouge National Urban Park will host BioBlitz Canada 150 in the Greater Toronto Area, one of several signature events happening across the country to celebrate Canada 150.

 

The Rouge BioBlitz will last 24 hours (12 noon to 12 noon) and will focus on finding and identifying as many species of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms as possible throughout the park. The event also includes a BioBlitz Base Camp Festival on Saturday June 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 11 a.m.

 

BioBlitz Canada 150 in the Rouge is presented by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, Royal Ontario Museum, Parks Canada, Toronto Zoo, Toronto and Region Conservation, and the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics.
