At the time of her fellowship. Dr. Vogelsang-Eastwood had received her PhD from Manchester University in the previous year, and was working as a freelance archaeological textile consultant in Leiden and editor of the Archaeological Textiles Newsletter. Currently, she is Director of the Textile Research Centre in Leiden.
