Exploring the Trees of Ontario

Explore our region’s trees and get to know the green canopy above us. With ROM’s new Field Guide to Trees of Ontario as the foundation, contributing authors Deborah Metsger and Sarah Hodges guide us on a journey of discovery through our botanical worlds – both urban and rural. The workshop includes a walk outdoors, where we’ll learn to use the guide as an important reference tool, identifying trees and examining how they interact with, and contribute to, the natural landscape. Each participant will receive a personal copy of the new Field Guide as part of the registration fee.

Part of ROM’s series of bestselling field guides, A Field Guide to Trees of Ontario connects us to the oldest, tallest, and largest plants in Ontario’s flora, encouraging us to relate to the trees around us and respect the critical role they play in building and sustaining healthy ecosystems.
