What We'll Do

In this workshop, ROM vertebrate palaeontology technician Shino Sugimoto teaches us how to clean and prepare real fossils from ROM’s palaeontology collection. Learn about the tools used in this revealing work, and the excitement of seeing a dino “puzzle” take shape! Participants will work with fossils from the only known bone bed of the 80-million-year-old ceratops (“horn face”) Medusaceratops lokii (Judith River Formation, Kennedy Coulee, Montana).
