This Family Day weekend, ROM is the place to get up close to real-life specimens, make your very own fossils, meet an animatronic Utahraptor, and so much more. Plus, learn how dinosaurs and other prehistorical animals shaped our world—and what they can teach us about the future.

Canada’s first interactive and life-size Utahraptor is back! Sierra, an animatronic dinosaur, is roaring with excitement and ready to roam the Museum.
Makerspace (Level 1)
Monday, February 17, 11 am - 4 pm
In this hands-on workshop about prehistoric preservation, create your very own fossil by pressing 3D-printed dinosaur bones into clay.
Chen Court (Level 1)

Inspired by contemporary artist Junko’s towering dinosaur sculpture (on display at ROM!), craft your own paper dinosaur from recycled materials, while learning about sustainability and our role in protecting the planet.

Did you know that all birds are dinosaurs? Uncover the shared traits between birds and their prehistoric ancestors by examining real specimens. Plus, bring dinosaur eggs to life by colouring your own!
Hands-On Biodiversity Gallery (Level 2)

In this facilitated touch table activity, find out about the diets of a wide range of dinosaurs by examining fossils to learn what they ate and how they avoided getting eaten.
