About

Akiko Takesue hosts a conversation with Max Dionisio to highlight the important role the ROM’s Library and Archives plays in making museum collections and research more accessible to members of the public. Using Aftershocks: Japanese Earthquake Prints as a starting point, Akiko and Max will discuss how the library’s resources can enhance learning and deepen understanding beyond what visitors experience within the exhibition. They will also explore the depth of ROM’s curatorial and library collections collection of Japanese books and prints, and demonstrate how community members interested in Japanese history, art, and culture can learn more about these topics in the Bishop White Committee Library of East Asia.

This program is co-presented by ROM and The Japan Foundation, Toronto for the online exhibition Aftershocks: Japanese Earthquake Prints.
