Bio
Robert achieved a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. Upon graduation he had several years’ insurance experience with a major insurer in Canada and then with a substantial insurance brokerage in the Lloyd's of London insurance market.
Robert moved from London to Toronto in 1987 to begin work as a retail insurance broker at a firm that ultimately, after a merger in 1994, became known as HKMB International Insurance Brokers. Robert was one of the founding Managing Partners of HKMB. In 2008, HKMB was acquired by HUB. Today, Robert is Executive Chairman of HUB’s Ontario region.
Robert has had experience as a broker in most industry verticals throughout his career, with a particular focus on auto dealers, lessors, real estate and manufacturing.
Robert A. Keilty
Robert is a past Chairman of the Board of Governors of Royal St. George's College in Toronto and a former President of the Toronto Insurance Conference. He is past Chair, Dan Management & Organizational Studies Advisory Council at the University of Western Ontario, sits on the Board of Governors for the Royal Ontario Museum Foundation and is involved with various other Toronto area charitable organizations.
Robert is married with two children and resides in Toronto.
